I’ve been at Stagebridge for over ten years. Several of my students have been with me since I began.
The Stagebridge students are always a delight to teach. They arrive early to practice before class, and it’s so gratifying to see their enthusiasm and appreciation.
Teaching on Zoom during the pandemic has been a challenge—especially for a tap class—because of the time delay on Zoom. Still, it’s been a learning experience for all of us.
The students are not shy about asking questions during class; that’s very important in a situation like this! One advantage of Zoom is being able to easily record the class session for the students so that they can practice during the week.
But I’m very energized and focused on getting us all back into the same room so that we can have effective rehearsals and work towards performances again.
There are some, of course, who’ve been able to take the class from locations outside the Bay Area, and I think it’s great that they’ll be able to continue to participate through hybrid classes.
This is also very exciting because it will enlarge the reach of Stagebridge!
