Storyteller Willy Claflin comes to Stagebridge!

Stagebridge is excited to host renowned storyteller Willy Claflin for a special one-day workshop: "Storytelling: The Art of Performance" on SAT. SEPT. 30 from 10am - 2pm.

This workshop will focus on performance and performance skills. As Willy tells it, "Contemporary Storytelling tends to be quite casual, quite conversational in style. But the art− the Craft− of storytelling is often hidden from the listener. The techniques and tricks, the subtle use of rhythm, pacing, tone and digression− these are all part of the performer's art. They are fun to learn and exciting to play with; let's get together and explore them!

We'll cover all aspects or performing: how to connect with an audience, how to adjust for especially large (or small!) audiences, how to overcome stage fright, and how to deal with the toddler who shouldn't be there and his or her oblivious parent (who should know better)."

Light refreshments will be served at this event.

UPDATE: This event is sold out!
Registration: $75 early bird through Aug. 31; ($100 after Fri. Sept. 1).
