Never Too Late
The oldest ongoing show at Stagebridge! Like “Beach Blanket Babylon,” the theme changes, the stars shine brighter each year and the audiences always leave laughing. This year’s all new musical review features more songs, skits and fun. The troupe of seniors, accompanied by Scrumbly Koldewyn on the piano, entertains with a wink and a nod to memory lane and to the good times that create memories.
Time: 20–60 minutes – material adapted to complement event theme.

“The best entertainment we ever had at an anniversary party!’ - Hayward Recreation & Park District

Art of Storytelling
Learn to develop a personal or fictional story. Classes are fun, creative and geared to help you create a story and fine tune your storytelling skills in a friendly environment.

Improvisation
Improv is a great way to stimulate mind, memory and motion for seniors. The laughter is infectious, the situations familiar, and anyone can join in the skits amusing everyone with their inventive, imaginative contributions. Learn fun, creative ice-breaker techniques to share.

Playreading & Readers Theatre
Have fun getting to know famous and infamous characters and what makes them come to life on stage. Learn how a play evolves from script to stage by getting inside the characters, the setting and the magic of theatrical production.

Playback Theatre
Personal stories shared by audience members are instantly transformed by the ensemble into improvised theater pieces using movement, ritual, dramatic spoken word and music. Audience participation and interaction is an essential component of the program. The experience proves to be cathartic, fun, challenging and meaningful!

Playwriting
How do they do that? Learn the techniques of writing for the stage: plot, character development, language, structure and staging. Create a new piece or bring one you are working on.

Storytelling
Senior storytellers captivate audiences with witty, charming, personal and fictional stories, based in the oral tradition of world wisdom. Tellers invite the audience to relax, listen, enjoy and share in the exciting tales as they are revealed.
Time: 30–60 minutes as entertainment, class or workshop.

Radio Days
Go back in time and listen to a live radio drama, complete with sound effects and old-time commercials.  Actors bring the scripts of old radio dramas/mysteries and variety shows to life. Recent shows include Guiding Light, Flash Gordon, and the War of the Worlds.

Joy of Music
Create a festive event with some of the Bay Area’s best musicians. Whatever musical genre you’re craving, we can provide it. Specialties include swing standards to 60′s classics, R&B, Jazz, Classical and Dixieland. Our acclaimed performers delight in surrounding your guests with the Joy of Music. They know that merriment is sure to follow.
Time: 30+ minutes. Priced from solo performer to 6-7 piece band.
